Youth Basketball

Instructional leagues to learn, play, compete, and have fun.

YOUTH BASKETBALL

The CERA Youth Basketball League is an instructional league with the goal of providing each player a chance to learn, play, compete, and have fun. There are no tryouts. Each league’s teams are formed by using a blind draw by age and gender. Siblings in the same age group are placed on the same team, and coaches have their children on their team. Each team member plays two completed quarters (start to finish) per game. This allows every athlete to play and develop their skills at each game.

Summer season consists of 5 games and a tournament. Summer season runs July until mid-August. Planned age groups for the summer are: 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-13, and 14-16.

Winter season consists of 10 game and a tournament. Winter season runs December until mid-March. Planned age groups for winter are: 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, and 11-13.

Coaches are volunteer parents and family members. If you are interested in coaching, please indicate so when you sign up.
