Prospective members are welcome to come by the studio for a tour. Prior to joining as a member, all prospects are required to take one block of classes, which serves as lessons in particular techniques to familiarize you with CERA’s studio and its policies. Look for “Intro Class” in the class name for qualifying prerequisite classes. Lessons include throwing on the wheel, advanced throwing, hand-building, alternative firing techniques, and sculpture. Prices for these classes range from $50 to $200 for four to six three-hour classes.
Clay and tool sets are available for a small fee that you can purchase when registering, or you can bring your own clay and tools. Members signing up for other classes and workshops must bring their own clay.
CERA Pottery Studio is available to members during CERA operating hours. The studio is not available to non-participants during classes and workshops, creating a quiet space for you to practice and learn with fellow students.
